PTE Institutional Grant Instuctions
Application Form
The purposes of the institutional grant are to fund or subsidize activities that support professional development at a PTE members' local institution and to strengthen the ties between PTE, its membership, and institutions that provide ESL services or train ESL teachers. Possible activities include paying for a speaker to make a presentation, organizing a workshop for teachers at a school, or paying for the rental of space to meet regularly to talk about ESL issues of local concern.

Builder of Brotherhood and Sisterhood Award
The goal of this activity is to encourage students to become
“leaders” in the war against prejudice and discrimination. Students are asked to reflect on the importance of tolerance and promote it in an essay or work of art. All participants receive a PTE “Builder of Brotherhood and Sisterhood” Certificate. The winner receives a monetary prize at the Spring Conference. Application form
