Welcome to the Higher Ed Interest Section (HEIS)!
HEIS represents instructors from numerous colleges and universities in the Philadelphia region and beyond. By working together we can better understand issues and concerns in our educational environment and their affect on our student population.
HEIS hosts several informal get-togethers each year. These usually occur on a Saturday at a member’s home and a topic of discussion is set. Sometimes guest speakers are invited to speak on the topic. Other times, the members bring information to share. These get-togethers, which are free for PTE members, allow for networking and professional development in a relaxed environment.
